We make every effort to keep YouTube Kids a safe environment for families, with suitable videos. Our engineering teams work to develop automatic filters, use reviews made by real people, and take feedback from parents in order to ensure the safety of our young users in the online world. However, we know that no system can be perfect. Occasionally, inappropriate videos may bypass our controls. Therefore, we continue to work on improving our security measures and adding more features to help parents provide the right experience for their family members. You can customize your family's experience on TV by enabling or disabling the search feature, as well as reviewing your child's watch history with the "Watch Again" feature.

Personalize your child's experience with individual profiles
Create unique experiences for your child on our mobile app and use them on your TV or on the internet. First, download the YouTube Kids app to your mobile device or tablet from the iOS App Store or Google Play Store, and then log in to create a profile. Each profile has its own viewing preferences, video recommendations, and settings. Choose an age category that is appropriate for your child ("Preschool" (4 years and under), "Younger" (5-8 years), or "Older" (9 years and above)), or select the "Approved Content Only" mode.
If you select "Approved Content Only", you can manually choose which videos, channels, and/or collections your child can watch. The video search feature is disabled in this mode. Approved videos must be selected on your mobile device or tablet. The videos you choose will be visible on all of your devices where YouTube Kids is available.

Our library consists of various videos suitable for families on different topics. These videos help develop your child's creativity and playing skills. In this library, your child can find everything from their favorite shows and songs to videos that teach them how to make a volcano (or even play dough).

Parental controls are necessary for us to provide the best experience for your child. Your child may also come across sponsored videos created by YouTube content creators, but these videos are not paid advertisements. When your child uses YouTube Kids without signing in with their own Google Account, the YouTube Kids Privacy Policy applies instead.
